Description One of our clients, a leading provider and distributor of DME, HME, and Respiratory products in the medical equipment industry is looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant with strong experience in US GAAP accounting and US operations support. Essential Job Functions: General Ledger Management • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjustments. • Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger integrity. • Review transactions for appropriate accounting treatment. • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies. Month-End Close • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. • Prepare and maintain close schedules. • Complete account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly. • Ensure all entries are supported by appropriate documentation. Account Reconciliations • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. • Analyze account activity and investigate unusual fluctuations. • Maintain roll-forward schedules for key accounts, including but not limited to: - Prepaids - Fixed assets - Accruals - Leases - Intercompany accounts Equity accounts Financial Reporting & Analysis • Assist with monthly financial reporting close. • Partner with PF&A to assist with variance analysis and explain significant movements. • Support management reporting requests. Audit & Compliance • Support external auditors during interim and annual audits. • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation. • Assist with investor compliance activities. • Handle tax compliances Process Improvement • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes. • Participate in ERP (Netsuite) enhancements and accounting system implementations as well as digital transformation and AI adoption • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and documentation. QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. • CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience. • Experience in a multinational company or shared service environment. • Strong understanding of: o US GAAP o Month-end close o Account reconciliations o Financial reporting • Advanced Excel skills • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics • Experience with consolidations and multi-entity accounting
